Dr Vishal Haripersad is the Managing Director of Knight Piésold Southern Africa, which is at 103 years old, is the oldest consulting engineering company in South Africa. 

He is a professional civil engineer with over 25 years of experience in the design, documentation, and contract administration of numerous civil engineering projects.

He holds post graduate qualifications in business management and has been extensively involved over the development of the organization over this time. He has extensive experience in the project management of large and complex projects and has extensive experience working with both private and public clients. 

His project experience extends throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, and he has been extensively involved in the successful development and execution of the expansion of the company within South Africa and into Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Botswana, Namibia, Madagascar, and various other African countries. 

He currently serves as project director in these various countries across multiple work streams.

He is also the Chairman of CIVILAB (Pty) Ltd. Vishal also has a close connection with Consulting Engineers South Africa, a South African engineering consultancy governing body, and serves as the current Vice President of the organization.

Mbali is founder and CEO of Ground Work Collective, a community development initiative focusing on Food security, Access to water, Civic Education and social entrepreneurship.

Stewart is an independent non-executive director. He has extensive global experience in business and technology. 

He is the former Managing Director of Dell Computer Proprietary Limited (“Dell”) in South Africa as well as the former vice-president for Dell’s Enterprise Solutions business in the EMEA Emerging Markets. 

Prior to joining Dell, he spent 23 years at IBM in various positions, both locally and internationally.

Stewart is currently the chairman of board at Altron, and he serves on the boards of Old Mutual Limited, ADvTech and, Interlock Events as an independent non-executive director. He is a member of the Technology and Innovation Advisory Board to the South African Revenue Services. He also served on the advisory boards of the University of Stellenbosch Business School and Christel House South Africa.

Dr Linda Ncube-Nkomo is the Chief Executive Officer of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. She is a Chartered Accountant by profession with extensive experience in various sectors including the Development Sector, Telecommunications, Financial Services and Consulting. 

Over the years she has finessed her skills in Strategy Development and Implementation, Organisational Leadership, Business Development, Stakeholder Engagement as well as Project Management.

Her educational background includes a Doctorate in Business Leadership from UNISA School of Business Leadership as well as a master’s degree in the same field and institution.

She qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe in 2002 and completed her Chartered Accountant Conversion Exam at the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2004. 

She is also a member of the Institute of Directors of South Africa and is the Chairperson of the Old Mutual Foundation.

Having recently participated in the Trek4Mandela Kilimanjaro Fundraising Initiative for 2022, in an effort to raise awareness and funds for girls with limited access to menstrual hygiene, Dr Ncube-Nkomo is passionate about issues affecting the lives of women, especially those related to inequality, leadership, and advancing the role of civil society in promoting the rights of women and children in modern-day South Africa. Kamini Redhi is the Vice President of Marketing and Communication for Africa at Mastercard. Based in Johannesburg, Miss Redhi oversees the strategic direction, development, execution and performance of all marketing and communication activities for the payments’ technology company in South Africa. Her role includes finding new and disruptive ways to communicate with Mastercard consumers and customers – cardholders, banks, fintechs and merchants to scale digital payment behaviour adoption across Southern Africa with the ambition to create a world beyond cash. 

Prior to joining Mastercard, Miss Redhi was Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola Africa working across Coca-Cola’s Hydration Portfolio as well as on Brand Coca-Cola for South, Central and East Africa where she was responsible for launching multiple global innovations into the region.

I am the CEO of Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator. Harambee is a not-for-profit social enterprise that works in partnership with government, the private sector, civil society and young people to build African solutions for the global challenge of youth unemployment. 

Harambee is committed to changing the system by removing the barriers that keep millions of young Africans locked out of opportunity.

I qualified as a chartered accountant and spent 10 years at Deloitte, focusing on the provision of audit and advisory services to international funders, social investment initiatives and development projects. I also have prior experience as Chief Executive Officer of Soul City, one of South Africa’s largest health and development NGOs, which promotes social justice for young women and girls.

Previously, I served as a manager responsible for providing governance and financial management oversight of Yellowwoods’ social investment portfolio. I was also a consultant to PwC.

Over the last 20 years, I have developed my executive capability and acquired extensive professional experience across a broad range of skills including strategy development, solutions design, change management, business modelling, financial management, fundraising, funder management, stakeholder engagement and talent management.

I am passionate about using my skills and experience to do purpose-driven work that feeds my soul.

As a change leader, I am inspired to work in partnership with coalitions to enable and support the growth of an inclusive economy that can have a transformative impact on young people and broader society.

 Having passed his Cricket South Africa Level Three Coaching Qualification in 2009, he has dedicated his time to uplifting aspiring young cricket players. 

Partnered with the fact that he was a Cricket South Africa National U19 Talent Scout for 11 years, as well as the Lions U19 Coach for the same amount of time, Jono has defined himself as a standout leader, deserving of respect.

Over and above serving his country's cricketing eco-system, Jono previously the Indian Premier Leagues and Champions assisted the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Leagues.

Dr. Stanley Mpofu, Chief Information Officer at the University of the Witwatersrand, is a trailblazer in digital transformation and a champion for digital equity. His innovative leadership has ensured that no student or staff member is left behind in the digital age.

Dr. Mpofu spearheaded the "Smart Classroom" initiative, which aligns with the university's blended learning objectives and provided critical support during the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative established a robust framework for online education, enabling uninterrupted learning despite global disruptions. 

Additionally, Dr Mpofu played a pivotal role in expanding eduroam, a secure internet access service, to all public airports in South Africa, in collaboration with Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) and the Tertiary Education & Research Network of South Africa (TENET). This initiative benefitted students and staff without internet access at home, bridging the digital divide.

Under his leadership, Wits University implemented transformative projects, including the Automation of Thesis Submission, the Integrated Workplace Management System, and the Hospital Connectivity project. 

These initiatives modernized the university's operations, aligning them with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
